Learn the basics of the sewing machine while
skill building through sewing art and crafts. Machines and materials
supplied. Crafters are encouraged to bring their own machines to learn
on. (no toy machines please). Every student must wear close toed shoes
to every class- no flip flops, Crocks or Uggs permitted. Drop off only,

Two  2 hour sessions ($150 individual class or $120 per person up to 6 participants) 
One  2 hour sessions ($45 individual class or $75 per person up to 6 participants) in your home or meeting place – the basics on how to use a sewing machine, and an age appropriate project ~all the materials and machines supplied or BYOSM- (bring your own sewing machine)

A simple SEWloution is a SEWing Experience in your School

School  Tee-shirt Pride Pillow

Adults and Students will have a blast cutting, creating and sewing their school pride tees into soft memory pillow.

each student will be given a fabric patch to trace their hand and decorate that will be attached to the back.

all machines, decorating materials,  and stuffing provided- Tee-shirts not included

this project is for kindergarten families through middle school.

$15 per project

Design a Keepsake Class Pillow

This project is great as a in classroom SEWing Experience or a whole school SEWing Experience.

Students will get to choose their fabric to decorate and sew, when it's all sewn together, students are encouraged to have their classmates sign the fabric for a keepsake of that school year

all machines, decorating materials,  and stuffing provided

this project is for kindergarten families through middle school.

$15 per project

These SEWing Experiences are held at a venue of your choice.

All sewing machines and irons are behind plexiglass so the experience is safe for all ages.

These projects are 1-1.5 crafting hours long (could be longer depending on number of attendees)

Non refundable deposit of $50 is required to hold date and time

School Quilt Project!

             

           Crafty Katie will provide you with 100, 4x4 inch squares of

                              cotton fabric to be decorated.

             Mail them to Crafty Katie and she will sew them into  a quilt for your school.

                                              

                                              SEW Simple!

Two choices of packages:

Simply Sewn- all squares sewn together with no border and white backing

$100 for the first 100 squares  $50 non refundable deposit required

Sewn with Border- using the school colors add a colored border to the quilt, with a color matching backing.

$175 for the first 100 squares, $75 non refundable deposit required

Girl Scout SEWing Fall Winter 2020/2021

 


 Sew a doll scout vest: 

This project is perfect for The Daisy's and yet challenging enough for Brownies.
Scouts will  create and hand sew patches.  Machine sew the adorable vests together.
Vests fit most 18 inch dolls.

No sewing experience necessary , all materials and machines provided.
This is a 1..5 hour workshop that takes place at your meeting site.
$25 per person

Sew a Vest Pillow:

Turn a single vest into a pillow is great introduction to machine sewing and fabric cutting for Juniors and Cadettes.
No sewing experience necessary , all materials and machines provided.
This is a 2 hour workshop that takes place at your meeting site.
$25 per person

Sew Multi Vest Pillow:

Senior Scouts have collected many vests over their years of service and dedication to the Girl Scouts. Time to take those vests and make a memory pillow you will keep for years to come.

No sewing experience necessary , all materials and machines provided.
This is a 2 hour workshop that takes place at your meeting site.
$25 per person


It's SEW Crafty is excited to share with your troop, SEWing projects inspired by the founder of the Girl Scouts, Juliette Gordon Low.

Low had started started her first charity called "Helping Hands" to help the poor. She recruited her cousins and neighborhood friends to sew clothes for those less fortunate.
Sew A Dress
Scouts will learn to cut pin and sew simple adjustable smock dress.
Dresses can be decorated with fabric markers, appliques buttons ..ect... then donated to a charity of your choosing
No sewing experience necessary , all materials and machines provided.
This is a 2 hour workshop that takes place at your meeting site.
$25 per person

Patch Pillow
Each Scout will receive four 4x4 cotton squares to design their own patches. The patches should be designed with goals for the future, or positive affirmations.
Once all 6 squares are designed the Scouts will sew the patches together, add a backing with stuffing to make a small patch pillow . 

No sewing experience necessary , all materials and machines provided.
This is a 2 hour workshop that takes place at your meeting site.
$25 per person




A Tree for the Future

Every spring
The sap rises in the trees
From root to branch
And  makes a tree that looks dead
Blossom with green leaves
And life.
So it  is that the Scouting Spriit
Rises within you and
Inspires you to put  forth
Your best.


Tree Applique Stitching
 Each scout will receive an embroidery hoop to crate their applique tree. Fabrics of all colors and textures, buttons, sequins and more will be provided so that each tree can be created from with in the Scouts Spirit. This is a hand sewing project. All materials will be provided.

No sewing experience necessary
This is a 1.5 hour workshop that takes place at your meeting site.
$25 per person

Masks must be worn by all participants during in person lessons.

Hand Sanitizer will be used often during lesson.

*if you need a mask, one will be provided*

lessons will be rescheduled for any sickness
